Sangham radio - Masanagari Narsamma & Algole Narsamma
Established in 2008 in Machnoor, Telangana, Sangham Radio is India’s first all-female community radio run entirely by Dalit women. From their modest studio, they broadcast farming tips, health advice, folklore, and discussions on women’s rights. The station empowers around 40 villages, giving voice to rural Dalit women and preserving cultural heritage, all while fostering legal awareness and social change.
The Ambedkarite Social Café - Anju Singh
Launched in 2022 by Global Campaign for Dalit Women, the Ambedkarite Social Café in New Delhi creates a safe and empowering space for Dalit girls . Rooted in anti-caste feminism, it offers English and computer classes, art, leadership training, and workshops on Ambedkar’s teachings. Serving about 35 girls regularly, it nurtures confidence, identity, and leadership.
